Spending on ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is as an eligible CSR expenditure
MCA has issued a circular notifying that the amounts spent by the companies on activities related to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, such as mass scale production and supply of the National Flag, outreach and amplification efforts and other related activities as eligible CSR expenditure under item no. (ii) of Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 pertaining to promotion of education relating to culture.
It is to be noted that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is being organised as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aim of which is to encourage people to bring home the national flag and hoist it to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence.
